Reverse Osmosis (RO): is a process which purifies water by forcing it through a fine membrane, which leaves impurities behind. The result is particles that left on the one side of the membrane, while the pure liquid resides on the other side of this membrane. The process is called reverse osmosis, and is theoretically the most thorough method of large-scale water purification. Also known as Ultra-Filtration, reverse osmosis today has earned its rightful status as the most convenient and thorough method to filter water.
